Consumer Credit Analyst / Sr. Analyst needed by Consulting firm to financial services companies for permanent position role to oversee development of customer-specific unique credit data analyses for clients using Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, SQL, and SAS as primary development tools.
Responsibilities:
Lead the analysis, design and modification of statistical and banking (credit, debit, etc) data collection programs and the development/implementation of applications for disseminating client credit card data.
Engage in the development of mathematical theories and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information in business and banking statistics.
In charge of planning data collection methods and data requirements for specific projects, based on knowledge of data analysis and financial services industry.
Identify relationships and statistical trends in data collection from clients, as well as any discernable trends, variables or factors that could affect the results of statistical analysis in order to verify the analysis and research.
Educational and experience requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline
1+ years of previous related experience in Credit, Financial Services or analytical consulting services
A track record of outstanding academic performance
Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Experience with SQL or SAS, or other data mining or statistical software
Experience manipulating, analyzing, and modeling based on large datasets for the purposes of developing strategic solutions to business problems
