A growing broker-dealer has created a new role as part of the Fixed-Income Trading IT team to build-out an in-house market-making pricing engine with post-trade STP, including proprietary tradings algorithm, working in partnership with the business. Responsibilities include the design and development of electronic market-making applications and associated GUIs in a multi-threaded, real-time environment in either Java or C#. Proficiency with C# ( WPF or Winforms ) or Java ( SWT or AWT or Swing ) and some experience in C++ is required. Any exposure to low latency programming and multi-threaded environments is a plus. Familiarity with Broadway Technologies TOC platform or ION MarketView or Progress’ Apama platform is a plus. Knowledge of interest rates products (Bonds, Swaps, Futures, Options ) is a plus, but a background in equities electronic trading systems will also suffice. A degree in computer science is required.
