Software Provider is looking for a Statistical Analyst to lead the algorithmic design and provide technical direction on the integration and implementation of products. Clients include retail and entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Regression model estimation and statistical modeling
Engage in cutting-edge research and work cross functionally with Product Development team to design and develop algorithms for new products
Create and implement metrics to measure, monitor and improve business value of products to the customer
Collaborate with Analytics team to analyze consumer behavior data
Partner with service/implementation colleagues to examine product functionality, design models and make recommendations for modifications or enhancements
Execute discrete tasks including data preparation and quality assurance, weekly report completion, web logs analysis and model performance tracking
Perform data exploration to assess recommender performance and make improvements using creative identification and estimation of preference-models and classification-schemes
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, related field or equivalent work experience required - advanced degree strongly preferred
Prior experience with statistical software programs such as STATA, SAS, SPSS, Minitab, MATLAB, WinBUGS or R
Proficiency with regression model estimation and statistical techniques
Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical language to business terms, present information effectively and influence others
Logical, statistical and quantitative reasoning skills
