Leading financial services form seeks Statisticians at various levels to perform statistical analysis in support of business plans. Analyze data, produce reports and graphics. Write summary reports and/or presentations that translate the results of analyses into non-technical results understandable by non statisticians. If applicable, manage other statisticians or data analysts. Locations are in McLean or Richmond VA.
Responsibilities include:
Statistical modeling and analysis
Data preparation
Personnel management work (if applicable - some statistical analysis managers do not actually manage people)
Monitoring model performance and making recommendations, as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Statistics, Economics, Operation Research or Mathematics
2 Years experience in Statistics or related quantitative field
2 Years experience in Risk management
1 Year experience in Statistical modeling techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks, survival analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in Statistics or related quantitative field
5 Years experience in Statistics or related quantitative field
5 Years experience in Risk management
1 Year experience in Managing statisticians
2 Years experience in Statistical modeling techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks, survival analysis2 Years experience in Programming in the SAS System
